Back Pain

Current estimates are that 80% of Americans will experience back pain at some time in their life. Despite having one of the most "advanced" medical systems in the world, the US is among the worst for chronic back pain.

Having the proper diagnosis when undergoing treatment is very important to your recovery.  We will take the time to truly identify the pain causing issues so that we can get you out of pain and back to activity in no time.

Back pain can be the result of problems with the bone, joints, discs (padding between the vertebrae), ligaments, spinal cord and/or nerves, and muscles; along with the internal organs of the pelvis and abdomen and the skin covering the spine area.

A problem in any one of these areas can result in back pain and progress to many conditions including:
  • Bulging or Herniated disc
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Lumbar Radiculopathy
  • Facet syndrome (small joints in your spine)
  • SI joint dysfunction
  • Muscle strain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Spondylolisthesis (slipped vertebrae)
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Nerve impingement or irritation

The good news is most of the causes for back pain can be treated without surgery and many of these will resolve completely with proper treatment.

If you have been suffering from back pain please contact us today for an evaluation.
